Comics & Animation, Magazines, Movies, Music, Radio, and Television are in the Entertainment & Music section.

Books & Authors, Dancing, Performing Arts, Poetry, Theater & Acting, and Visual Arts are in the Arts & Humanities section.

All of these categories could arguably fall under Art, and they are all meant to be Entertainment. I?m not sure what?s dividing them.

I have to be honest that I go back and forth between these two sections?.but the difference that I see is that Entertainment and Music section probably deals more with pop culture, while Arts and Humanities deals more with classical things. But you are right that there is definitely some cross over. That is why I go back and forth.

I know this does not necessarily explain the differences, it is just how I see them.

James, Melo, Paul fall short in Philly exhibition (AP)

PHILADELPHIA ? LeBron James had the superstar teammates with him and the crowd against him.

September felt like June all over again, especially when another Big Three came up short.

James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul couldn't lead their team back from a dreadful start, as Team Philly beat Melo's stars of Baltimore 131-122 on Sunday night at the Palestra.

Just like when the Miami team led by James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh was knocked off by Dallas in the NBA finals, the bigger names didn't click in time to get the victory many expected.

A sold-out crowd that greeted James with thunderous boos when he came onto the floor roared in the final minute when former Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans used a series of fakes to drive into the lane for a basket that put it away at 131-119.

"Most of them are, it's not just the best players in the league, it's the best players in the world. And they're on the USA team, obviously guys get a lot of respect," Philly center Jason Thompson of Sacramento said.

"But at the end of the day, it's not like they're playing in a neutral place. You're playing in Philly and in all type of sports, basketball, football, baseball, anything, you know how Philly fans get."

With the NBA lockout now wiping out parts of the preseason and threatening to do more damage, Anthony helped put the game together along with his former Syracuse teammate, Hakim Warrick, and said there could be more.

"My mindset is I'll start next week. My body is trained, I'll start next week and that's where my mindset is at, that's where my body is at," Anthony said. "So games like this, it's fun. It's charity, but at the same time, we want to get something out of it."

And Warrick said for now, Philadelphia has the title of best team of the summer circuit.

"After beating that team, I mean we've got to be the champs," the Phoenix forward said. "We're taking on all challengers, but they've got to come through Philly. So whoever's next, they've come to through us."

James had 43 points and 23 rebounds, and Anthony had 31 and 17, but Paul wasn't in top shape in rare action during this NBA summer of inactivity. All three played all 48 minutes.

James and Paul left without speaking to reporters.

Former Villanova guard Kyle Lowry of the Rockets scored 34 points and Lou Williams of the hometown 76ers had 31 for Team Philly in what was called the "Battle of I-95." Evans finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds, and Warrick added 19 points and 12 boards.

Fourth quarters were the problem for James in the finals, but this time his team couldn't undo his start.

The passionate Philly fans booed James when he came onto the floor and even louder during pregame introductions, and they were delighted when the local team threatened to run the All-Stars off the floor in the opening minutes. With speedy guards Williams, Lowry and Evans repeatedly getting by their defenders, Team Philly raced to a 22-6 lead that it extended to 35-16 later in the first quarter.

James had only four points in the period.

Team Melo took the lead in the final period, but Lowry led a late flurry to pull it out for Philly.

The Melo team is based in Baltimore, but Anthony went outside his city to find James (Ohio) and Paul (North Carolina).

They were originally expected to have Kevin Durant, who's starred in a number of these games this summer from New York to Washington, and they could have used the reinforcements. The historic gym on Penn's campus wasn't air conditioned, and with only three substitutes, Melo's crew struggled to get up and down the floor at times.

But they got better as play went on ? though the previously roaring crowd became increasingly quiet as it turned into a more half-court affair until James threw down Paul's lob pass from just inside center court to beat the halftime buzzer and cut Philly's lead to 66-58. But Philly, with a full roster, always was able to pull far enough ahead again.

Both teams warmed up in shirts reading "Basketball Never Stops" ? but of course it has this summer in the NBA. The league announced Friday that training camps were postponed and all 43 preseason games scheduled for the week of Oct. 9-15 were canceled.

Representatives from the NBA and players' association hope to meet again this week but the window is tight, with the union holding a regional meeting Tuesday in Miami and some negotiators on both sides unavailable after that during the Jewish holiday, making it even tougher to agree to a deal in time to salvage any of the preseason.

So players are forced to find ways to stay in shape without knowing when they will need to be ready for sure.

Without the lockout, they would be entering their final week of the offseason before reporting to camp. James, Anthony and Paul have done plenty of traveling, conducting clinics and taking part in community service projects, but it's unclear how much basketball they've been able to play.

"My main thing, we just got to stick together, as players we're sticking together," Anthony said, "and in the meantime keep doing stuff like this, keep having basketball games, keep playing, keep giving fans what they want. It's not everything that they want, because they want a season, but hey, it's something."

Paul shot only 3 of 12 for six points and struggled to keep up with Philly's speedsters.

At halftime, organizers presented Anthony and Warrick a check for $25,000 to build a basketball court for their cities.

The newspaper has not confirmed that title, and an employee of the paper said Macias Castaneda held an administrative post, not a reporting job. The employee was not authorized to be quoted by name.

But it was apparently what the woman posted on the local social networking site, Nuevo Laredo en Vivo, or "Nuevo Laredo Live," rather than her role at the newspaper, that resulted in her killing.

The site prominently features tip hotlines for the Mexican army, navy and police, and includes a section for reporting the location of drug gang lookouts and drug sales points ? possibly the information that angered the cartel.

The message found next to her body on the side of a main thoroughfare referred to the nickname the victim purportedly used on the site, "La Nena de Laredo," or "Laredo Girl." Her head was found placed on a large stone piling nearby.

"Nuevo Laredo en Vivo and social networking sites, I'm The Laredo Girl, and I'm here because of my reports, and yours," the message read. "For those who don't want to believe, this happened to me because of my actions, for believing in the army and the navy. Thank you for your attention, respectfully, Laredo Girl...ZZZZ."

The letter "Z" refers to the hyper-violent Zetas drug cartel, which is believed to dominate the city across from Laredo, Texas.

It was unclear how the killers found out her real identity.

By late Saturday, the chat room at Nuevo Laredo en Vivo was abuzz with fellow posters who said they knew the victim from her online postings, and railing against the Zetas, a gang founded by military deserters who have become known for mass killings and gruesome executions.

They described her as a frequent poster, who used a laptop or cell phone to send reports.

"Girl why didn't she buy a gun given that she was posting reports about the RatZZZ ... why didn't she buy a gun?" wrote one chat participant under the nickname "Gol."

Earlier this month, a man and a woman were found hanging dead from an overpass in Nuevo Laredo with a similar message threatening "this is what will happen" to internet users. However, it has not been clearly established whether the two had in fact ever posted any messages, or on what sites.

Residents of Mexican border cities often post under nicknames to report drug gang violence, because the posts allow a certain degree of anonymity.

Social media like local chat rooms and blogs, and networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, are often the only outlet for residents of violence-wracked cities to find out what areas to avoid because of ongoing drug cartel shootouts or attacks.

Local media outlets, whose journalists have been hit by killings, kidnappings and threats, are often too intimidated to report the violence.

Mexico's Human Rights Commission says eight journalists have been killed in Mexico this year and 74 since 2000. Other press groups cite lower numbers, and figures differ based on the definition of who is a journalist and whether the killings appeared to involve their professional work.

While helpful, social networking posts sometimes are inaccurate and can lead to chaotic situations in cities wracked by gang confrontations. In the Gulf coast state of Veracruz, just south of Tamaulipas, the state government dropped terrorism charges last week against two Twitter users for false posts that officials said caused panic and chaos in late August.

Russia?s rhythmic gymnast star Yevgenia Kanaeva has stolen the show at the World Championships in the French city of Montpellier, having grabbed all gold medals available to date.

During the first three days of competition Kanaeva claimed five wins, four of them coming from individual competitions and the other as part of the Russian team in all-around event.

Russia?s number two in the sport, Daria Kondakova, has also produced a cosmic performance, adding four silver medals to the gold, won back to back with Kanaeva.

The only medal missing in their collection in 2011 is expected to come later on Friday in the individual all-around event.

The event in Montpellier is regarded as the first qualifying round for the 2012 London Olympics. The top six countries will automatically qualify for Group Competition at the 2012 Olympics. In Individuals, the top 15 gymnasts will be given the green light for the Olympics, subject to a maximum of two per country.

Judge tosses Ala. challenge to election monitoring

WASHINGTON (AP) ? A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a challenge to election monitoring required under the Voting Rights Act to ensure mostly southern states are no longer disenfranchising black voters and found that discrimination continues in modern-day polling.

U.S. District Judge John Bates ruled against Shelby County, Ala., which sued Attorney General Eric Holder to stop the monitoring required since the Voting Rights Act's initial passage in 1965. The county argued the monitoring is outdated and that it should no longer need federal approval before changing even minor election procedures such as moving a polling place or redrawing school district lines.

Section 5 of the law relies heavily on patterns of past discrimination to determine which state, county and local governments must obtain "preclearance" for election changes. Bates noted that this section has been alternatively called the centerpiece of the country's most effective civil rights law and an impermissible federal encroachment on state sovereignty.

Bates had appeared somewhat sympathetic to the county's arguments at a hearing in February and he questioned whether evidence of racial discrimination from four or five decades ago justified the continued election monitoring.

But he wrote in his 151-page opinion that after reviewing 15,000 pages of records in support of lawmakers' 25-year extension of the law in 2006 that Congress was justified in finding that discrimination in the covered jurisdictions still existed.

"Bearing in mind both the historical context and the extensive evidence of recent voting discrimination reflected in that virtually unprecedented legislative record, the court concludes that current needs ? the modern existence of intentional racial discrimination in voting ? do, in fact, justify Congress's 2006 reauthorization of the preclearance requirement imposed on covered jurisdictions by Section 5," Bates wrote.

According to a list on the Justice Department Web site, Section 5 currently applies to the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. It also covers certain counties in California, Florida, New York, North Carolina and South Dakota, as well as some local jurisdictions in Michigan and New Hampshire.

Preclearance coverage under the act has been triggered by past discrimination not only against blacks, but also against American Indians, Asian-Americans, Alaskan Natives or Hispanics.

Bates noted that the attorney general has raised hundreds of objections to voting changes in the past three decades and pointed to several examples of outright discrimination across the south since the 1980s, including legislators in Mississippi and Georgia using racial epithets during redistricting debates and reports of harassment of blacks at the polls in Texas and South Carolina.

The Justice Department, supported by several civil rights groups, had argued that new forms of discrimination are most common in jurisdictions with the most checkered racial pasts. They pointed to a variety of examples in which local governments have redrawn district lines or delayed elections in an effort to dilute minority voting strength.

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund said Calera in Shelby County eliminated its only black-majority city council district when it redrew the district lines in 2006. After the change, Calera's only African-American councilman, Ernest Montgomery, lost his seat. But citing the Voting Rights Act, the Justice Department under President George W. Bush voided the election and required Calera to redraw the boundaries, restoring the black-majority district. Montgomery was re-elected.

Shelby County had argued that alleged discriminatory activity takes place across the country, as much in New Jersey or Illinois as in the jurisdictions covered under the Voting Rights Act. The county's lawyers argued the law's formula doesn't relate to current conditions across the country and is unconstitutional.

Shelby County also pointed out that the numbers of blacks registered to vote and elected to office have increased dramatically since the act was first passed. But Bates responded that minority voter registration rates still lag far behind whites and the proportion of blacks elected to office is still is lower than the population as a whole in covered jurisdictions.

Justice Department spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa said the department was pleased with the ruling. Attorneys for Shelby County did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

While I was in Seattle last week, playing Games with Hayden wasn?t the only time I spent around board games. It just so happened that there was a great game store within a block of my hotel in Redmond ? Uncles Games.

I first became familiar with Uncles Games when we developed our family board game site in 2009. Around that time we were checking out numerous online stores that sold board games and card games and we can across Unclesgames.com.

So when I found an Uncles Games store next to my hotel, I had to get in there as soon as I had the chance. And when I walked through the doors, I found a great game store.

What makes a great game store?

Of course the first thing that makes a game store great is a wide selection of games ? and Uncles Games definitely has that. You?re even able to notice how large of a selection of games they have even before you enter the store. Uncles Games in Redmond is located in the Redmond Town Center (an outdoor mall with plenty of shops and restaurants) and their store-front is all glass so you?re immediately hit with a bunch of games staring you in the face as you walk by.

The front window display presents a wide assortment of games to attract the attention of people with varying interests ? family games, kid games, party games, classic games, strategy games, miniature games, and puzzles. Once inside the store, all the games are organized in an easy to find manner with many of the family friendly games near the front moving to heavier strategy games as you progress into the store.

The next thing that makes a great games store is simply the atmosphere. Does it feel welcoming and comfortable? Uncles Games is very clean, attractive, and inviting.

Open gaming night gives you plenty of board games and card games to try out.

The other big thing that makes a game store great is the staff. Are the employees friendly and knowledgeable? After making my way into the store I was warmly greeted by the store manager ? Nick May. He was very friendly and was happy to take me around his store and show me the wide variety of games and those that appealed to my interests. I also had some questions about some games that I?ve been debating about putting on my wish list and Nick and his associate were great to give me more information and opinions on the games. They definitely know their stuff and love games.

Uncles Games also had plenty of space in the store for actually playing games. Different nights of the week are dedicated to different game interests. So come on a Wednesday night and you?ll find a lot of miniatures gaming going on. Or come on Friday night for Open Gaming. Just grab a game from their open gaming shelf and sit down to play. It?s a fantastic way to try board games or card games that you may not have played before.

Stop by the Stores

Nice large store with plenty of game playing space too.

If you?re ever in Redmond, WA, I suggest you stop by Uncles Games to grab a game or two. I picked up a couple card games while I was there ? Guillotine and No Thanks!

Of course, Uncles Games also has a board game store in Bellevue, WA and 2 stores in Spokane, WA. So if you find yourselves nearby any of those locations, stop by the stores. And if you can?t get near Washington, then check out Uncles Games online.

Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick broke onto the scene back in 1999 when Artisan released The Blair Witch Project unto the world. Banking nearly $250 million worldwide boxoffice, a sequel was quickly rushed into production that failed to make it past $50 million across the globe. Since then, rumors of a third film have freely floating out of the director's mouths.

Following the premiere of Lovely Molly, Bloody Disgusting's Fred Topel caught up with Sanchez who revealed new info on the long-gestured sequel that will bring back many of the original film's actors. The real question is: with found footage being the new "cool," why the hell hasn't Lionsgate pushed this guy off the ground? Maybe this is the year...

In Sanchez's ouvre, the 'Blair Witch' creator confirmed he is ready to make a third film to bring the series back from 'Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2.' "It's completely up to Lionsgate," Sanchez said. "Dan and I are ready to do it. We've been toying around with a sequel idea that we really like. It's just a matter of getting our schedules in line and having Lionsgate sign off on the idea. We've been ready to do a 'Blair Witch' movie for a long time. We're as close as we've ever been to making it happen but it's still not a guaranteed thing."

Sanchez and Myrick's idea would basically ignore the Joe Berlinger sequel. "I actually liked the sequel but at the same time it exists in a world outside of the movie. So if we want to do a sequel to 'Blair Witch Project,' we have to stay in that world, which 'Book of Shadows' didn't stay in that world. 'Book of Shadows' created a different world. It's like if the sequel to 'Jaws' started with shots of people lined up to see 'Jaws' in the movie theater. For 'Book of Shadows' it worked in a certain way but to me my biggest gripe with Artisan was you shouldn't have called it 'Blair Witch 2.' It would've been fine to call it Blair Witch Chronicles. It wasn't really a sequel to our movie. so it would be a direct sequel to our film living in that mythology of Burkittsville, being possessed, haunted by something."

Now that found footage is pass?, a 'Blair Witch 3' would update the storytelling by evolving from the "film student in the woods" style of the original. "Right now, the idea has no first person in it at all, but we'll see," Sanchez said. "There's always room for new ideas to come in."

Expect Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams to make a comeback too, though not as the leads. "The plan is to have them [back]," Sanchez revealed. "They're probably not going to be the main characters but they're definitely characters in the sequel."

That means the sequel may answer questions about the original's ambiguous ending. It certainly can't be a flashback if the actors are all 10 years older now. "No, it's not."

I actually didn't care much for Blair Witch the first time I watched it like ten years ago. I saw it again recently, as far as found footage movies go it's pretty good actually. I enjoyed it the second time.

found footage will always get attention...it's thrilling for most idiots to think it's real, even if realizing the truth is inevitable. ppl don't care. they only want a 30-second thrill before they forget about it and move on anyway.

Blair Witch was the first scary movie I was allowed to see in theaters, so it has a special place in my heart. Found footage isn't going anywhere...ppl will always buy in if there's even a small chance it's real.

The thing is though aren't most of the original actors in their late 30/early 40's by now? I mean are they going to make them up to like they are in there 20's like part 1? or will all that time have passed to the present? I hope this does get greenlit. I'm interested to see what they do with it. I enjoyed part 1 and part 2 for being it's own animal.

I still don't understand why so many people put down that film. I loved it. And it was the first of it's kind to make a big impact so you have to give it some credit for being very original. As for another, I'm okay with that as long as it's completely done by the original creators. The feature film sequel was interesting but a not a worthy sequel to this film. I would like to see more. And even though we all know it's not real, it's entertaining to pretend that it is and just enjoy the ride. Isn't that what an imagination is all about? Some things don't have to be so so practical.

Agreed: the found footage style of horror film isn't going away anytime soon. Like others have said, we, the moviegoers, love the tiny chance that what we're watching could have happened. Hell, it's one of the reasons the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre held such appeal for so many years: until the filmmakers actually admitted it, people believed it was a true story. I still folks today who think it really happened, lol. As for Blair Witch, the original was an awesome comedy for being an overhyped horror film. The sequel I actually enjoyed, it was one of my first meta experiences in a horror film alongside Scream. Still quite watchable even today. So yeah, bring on a third movie, it can't be any worse than Paranormal Activity.

Id throw out "3D" (again) before "found footage" films. Theyre being abused and shitily done by amateur directors left and right because their cheap equipment makes it obviously easy and one zone a poor filmmaker could "work", but some of them , a few , are some damned good horror films. We all get in our routines of taking the same group fitness classes, at the same times every week. Last week, I decided to switch it up a bit and look for something new. While looking at the Group Fitness Schedule, one class caught my eye.. Stepilicious!

I have to admit, I was a little nervous about what I was getting myself into. But after speaking with the instructor, Emmy Richards, I soon realized I was in for an hour of fun and calorie burning too.

?Stepilicious isn?t your mom?s step class! With fun and sassy dance moves like the?Britney, Flamingo and Sexy?Salsa, you?ll shake your way into shape!?Easy?to master choreography and dance club?music mixes make this class?an exciting and challenging cardio workout,? said Emmy.

Don?t be afraid if you don?t have any dance experience. First, Emmy starts the one-hour class by teaching you the basic step moves. Gradually, arm motions are incorporated in, then the amount of dance moves multiplies and before you know it you have an entire step routine going in the blink of an eye.

My favorite move was the Britney.. A little take off of our favorite pop-star Britney Spears. And of course who doesn?t love doing the Cha-Cha? When you?re having fun dancing to your favorite music, you don?t even realize that you?re getting a workout too. But don?t worry you?ll leave the class in a sweat, feeling energized and ready to ?take on the rest of the week.

It?s lunchtime during the week at Carmel Caf?, a Mediterranean-themed restaurant and wine bar tucked in a shopping plaza off McMullen Booth Road. Unlike the dinner service, when customers linger at tables and couches in the dining room, lunch is more about speed and efficiency.

A regular customer, a retired woman, walks in, approaches the bar and begins to order her lunch from the tablet. She uses one hand to hold her purse and the other to swipe her fingers across the face of an iPad propped on a pedestal.
